Wedding Plans

Well, of course the question people usually ask is how are wedding plans? So I guess I will just let everyone know! Things are moving along, I am really trying to be mellow about the whole thing. I don't know why a phenomenon was created when people were planning wedding, but I am just so against all the craziness that comes along with it! I just think it's silly that the best day of most peoples lives is also the most stressful! Yuck! I am just not going to be like that! I am so incredibly grateful that I am not the first to get married in my family or my friends! I have seen the good things they have done, I have seen the not so good, I have seen all the stress and running a muck! My mom and I have sat down with the appropriate people told them what we want and end of story, if it doesn't work out to my exact specifications WHO CARES!!!! Our goal is to get married, have a fun party, a sweet vacation in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and then have a great life together! There needs to be no craziness! I am a firm believer that if things are organized and well thought out then we'll be fine! Thins week my friend Jaime is finishing our invitations, I am really excited about them! We''l meet with the florist (stupid that those are so expensive) and call it a week!

Well, I've been sick!

Ok so I made a deal with a friend that if I blogged for one month consistently he would give me $10! Well, I have kind of been sick! I don't remember the last time I was that sick! I'm talking kick you on your butt sick. So if you have been around me recently and then come to be sick in the next few days, just know that the worst will be over in 24 hours and then you'll have a few days of aches and pain! Anyway, so I am hoping that I can be given a little bit of grace for not blogging the last few days :) Plus I am new at this!

Student Journey Service

Well, last night I went with John to the junior high and high school services. Both went great a few bumps along the way, I ran MediaShout in the JH service which was fine (thanks to Wildside I know how to use it). The building is exceptional, they have an entire room just for games and hang out, they have xboxs, guitar hero, pool tables, ping pong tables, couch area, love sacks, huge stage, with a massive screen to play videos, it's awesome! Then they have a theater devoted to the service. It's great because the junior high does there service first and then they switch with high school! Met a lot of great people and had some tasty snacks. All in all it was a great night!

Oklahomariah

Well, my friend Jaime suggested that I title my blog "Oklahomariah." Yes, the name is classic, but I feel like I will always be a California girl at heart. Therefore putting my name in combination with Oklahoma is a little bit difficult. I think I need to actually move here first! So check back in a few months and I may have made a change! If you have any further suggestions for a name I would be more than happy to listen!

It's freezing in Oklahoma!

Well, I am here in Oklahoma visiting my wonderful fiance John and it is so cold! So what do you do when it's cold, start a blog of course! Many people say, "you must really love him to move from sunny California to Oklahoma!" And I sure do! But it's pretty cold, it wouldn't be so bad if the wind wasn't blowing...Anyway, it's a good thing I am moving here in the Spring, I can then ease into the winter! It's supposed to snow tomorrow, that's fun! Anyway, I will be updating this throughout my trip!
