I am moving back to California, so it got me thinking...

I have lived in California my whole life except the last 3 months. Anyway, moving away from a place you love so much really makes you think of all the things you didn't do or things you didn't do enough of. So here is my list of things I hope to do in the near future or the next 5 years.

1. take a trip to Catalina
2. See a Padres game (I am an Angels fan!)
3. Go to the Ghetty Museum
4. Go to Sea World
5. Purchase another Disneyland pass
6. Stay at hotel Del Coronado in San Diego
7. Go to the beach atleast twice a week, even if it's just for a walk or to watch the sunset.
8. Surf more
9. Take a trip to San Fran
10. Buy a home (pray)
11. Take a snowboard trip to Mammoth or Tahoe
12. Run a marathon
13. stay the night at the Montage in Laguna Beach
14. Hike up Saddleback Mountain
15. Eat more Sushi (there are NO good sushi places in oklahoma)
16. get better at wakeboarding
17. play soccer again

I am sure more things will come up, so I will add them then. Hope this gets you thinking about things you want to do where you live!

I was tagged...

Well, Kurt started this whole thing and it made its way to me from my husband so here I go, if I could be...
1. Historical figure: Princess Diana

I just think she was an amazing women and such a heart to help people.
2. Celebrity: Kate Beckinsale

Umm, well, I have always been a fan of her since Serendipity! I think she is so adorable and so fun!
3. Famous Athlete: Julie Foudy

Umm, cuz she is amazing! She is from my hometown, I've met her, seen her play soccer with the womens national team, and she is a center-mid!
4. Famous Musician: Kelly Clarkson

To be honest I didn't watch the first season of American Idol, but I did see the season finale. I love her voice!
5. Christian mover and shaker: Mike Erre
He is the teaching pastor at Rock Harbor church in Costa Mesa, I used to attend when I was in college and he has such a gift to reach young people.

Ok I tag, Jordan and Kevin

getting the house ready to sell...

I will say that it is a little sad that we have to sell the first home we ever lived in just after 3 months. But we are so excited about moving back to Cali. Anyway, we are getting the house ready, we spent all morning in the garage sorting through stuff we need to give away. John and I combined have so much junk!!

Hopefully, we will put the house on the market this week and pray it sells fast. We will begin the drive home on the 11th, with a stop at the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, and Vegas (to see my sis!) We hope to arrive on the 14th and then I start work the next day!

Thank you so much for your prayers! We can't wait to hang out with old friends!

Yup! It's true we are moving back to CALI!!!! And we are this excited!!

We were keeping it on the downlow while I was talking with the church, but it's official and now we can scream it from the roof top!!!

I will be working on the Junior High team at Mariners Church! We are so thankful that the Lord has given us such a peace about coming back to the OC.

I have the most wonderful husband in the world!

So I came down with a slight cold last night and maybe just exhaustion. Anyway, I slept llike 10 hours, which, is very unusual for me. Anyway, this morning, John was making waffles and I really wanted love a bowl of cereal, but I had no milk.

You see the first thing we learned in our marriage is to compromise. I drink skim milk and he really likes 2%, so you would think the compromise would be 1%, right? oh no, not for us. We each have our own milk in the fridge. haha!

My milk

John's milk

So John had plenty of milk, but I had none. So what do you think he did? Well, he is wonderful, he let me lay on the couch and he went and got me my skim milk! I freaking love this guy for more reasons than milk!

running a half marathon...

So this is a picture of my best friends from college. (I'm sure they will love me for choosing this pic...haha, it was sophomore year)

All of them were in my wedding and all of them I would give my left kidney. In other words they mean the world to me. I would never want to let them down or disappoint them.

So...

I am commited!

We all came to the decision to run a half marathon together in November. Of course because it would allow us to get into better shape, but it is more a reason to see each other. You see right now, this is where we are...

(from left to right in picture above)
Tiffany - somewhere in Europe
Tara - California
Me - Oklahoma
Kristen - Michigan
Megan - Colorado

So, you see, we are so excited to see each other, as well as challenge ourselves. I know it is no full Marathon, but hey you got to start somewhere!

Wish us luck!

Momma went home...

Well, my mom left today, sad day! We had a great time having her here! Moms are wonderful! We went to a museum, did a lot of shopping, ate at really good places, and watched movies! It was wonderful! I will be seeing her again in just a few short weeks when I come home for Jordyn's wedding...hoooray!

My left at 3:20pm and my friend Matt arrived at 3:20pm. He is my friend from Biola and will be starting his PHD program at OU in the fall, so he made a quick trip out in order to find an apartment. So we went from one guest to the next!

Of course, we'll never forget our first overnight guests!

Michelle and Me

John and Me infront of the ballpark...it looks like we were taking a pic with the car, but that was not our intention.

Then the best part of the night came...we went over to the Melting Pot for dessert! Oh my goodness! It was so delicious!

Sean and Michelle

John and Me

This is one of the desserts we enjoyed, it is called "Ying Yang" it was delicious! But I think I enjoyed the original better, make sure you add caramel to it! It's to die for!

I found this pic and I needed to blog about it...

This is my friend Annie. This picture was taken just before my last day at saddleback. We were sitting at my desk and I played her a terrible song...this was her reaction :) haha! you can read about the story here

Oh the weather outside is frightful!!!

This is a pic of a storm coming in....

This is right before it hits...

this is me being nervous...

and this is my sweet husband on his laptop looking at radar, before the storm hits...

I am kind of getting use to the weather, but not really. We have had a lot of calls to check and see if our house is flooded. Luckily we are not near the flood zones, thank goodness!

I found my camera cord!!! hooray!!!

Now, I get to show you fun pictures of what we have been doing! I found it of course in a obvious place, but we are still unpacking boxes! So I have a lot to catch you up on! I'll start with snowcones!

On the 4th of July, John and I found an amazing snowcone stand, called Bahama Ice, I had blue hawaiian with coconut, and john had grape and cherry! They were delicious!

Ok, so I will be continuing to post pics from our adventure in oklahoma!

Well, let me tell you what we've been up to...

So, I love fridays and saturdays because my husband and I get to spend all day together! So on friday John and I woke up early and headed off to the ZOO!!! Hooray, the OKC ZOO was awesome, we saw elephants, grizzly bear, zebras, giraffes, snakes, and a whole bunch more! I will put pics up as soon as I can (still haven't found the camera cord :( ) We both lost about 5 pounds from walking around the Zoo in the 90 degree weather! But is was still awesome! Then it was off to Pei Wei! Ohhhh! So delicious! After our wonderful lunch he then took me to see, TRANSFORMERS! We saw it in a DLP theater, talk about amazing!
Then we headed home to have an hour of down time, then headed to Sean and Michelle's for fajitas and unbelievable smoothies! We played spades and then watched 13 ghosts (freaky movie!) We had a great time with wonderful company!

Saturday came around and I went for a run while JOhn mowed the lawn after this we headed to Edmond to see BJ (john's best friend) he has been gone for a month, so it was very fun to have him back, we went to On the Border with Tate and BJ, then went and rented a scary movie, Dead Silence, totally do not recommend it! I don't know why we have watched 2 scary movies in the past 2 days, I don't even like them!

Anyway, hope you're doing well!

My fun message from the 4th...

My friend Kristen left me a message yesterday and reminded me of the 4th of July we spent at the lake. I had been in a cast from a broken arm and was supposed to get it off 2 days before th 4th. Of course this didn't happen! Luckily I had a red waterproof cast! Kristen and I decided to put me in a better mood, so we found some blue nail polish and painted giant blue stars on my red cast! It helped with the rediculous tanl line I had at the end of the summer!

miss you friend!

Celebrating the 4th in Oklahoma...

John and I went up to Edmond for some fun times with family and friends. Here is what I noticed about oklahoma and the 4th of july:

1. Oklahomans are very patriotic! They love America and have the utmost respect for our country!
2. It wasn't the same without the beach :(
3. They had a great firework show!
4. John got eaten alive by mosquitoes, I wore sweatshirt and jeans with a gallon of bug repellent and did not get one bite!
5. The Edmond parade is ranked 7th in the country
6. I missed playing in a pool all day long!

We had a great day!

one month from today!!! hooray!

Exactly one month from today I will be on a plane back to the great state of California! I arrive friday morning and leave tuesday night. Although, I am sooooo sad that my husband can't accompany me, I am so thrilled to see my family and friends! The reason for my return is because Jordyn is getting married! Hooray!!!

This is her and me at my wedding! She is going to make a beautiful bride! Can't wait!

just needed a change!

I am really into orange and green right now! It is the color of our kitchen :)

Could not have come at a better time...

I was flipping through blogs this morning I found my way to Elizabeth's. She is a former intern on the Wildside staff, now currently serving with the 20 somethings ministry at Saddleback called Epic, she has a heart of gold, and is such an encouraging person! She just reccently posted about Jeremiah 17 and I don't think it could have been at a better time for me! I love it when the Lord uses people in your life to speak to you! So, as opposed to writing exactly what she said check out her post called, "I love this!"

Change is never easy, heck change is difficult! But the Lord is my strength through it! A very wise woman once told me that change can bring depression and that if I am aware of this I should be okay! And I am OK, but it is still hard!

my husband has to have second dinner...

John has been sick for the last few weeks so we got him put on antibiotics. Anyway, he is supposed to take them with lunch and with dinner. Of course he eats dinner with me so I can remind him, but he usually forgets during the day. So tonight we are just about to have dinner and he says, "Oh NO, I forgot to take my pill at lunch!" And I said, "don't worry, you can take it with your second dinner!" He then looks at me and says "what?" He is sad that I have noticed he eats a second dinner around 930pm...

Oops, he just saw what I am posting, so I will be honest with the fact that he is not a breakfast eater, so he is still having only 3 meals a day:)

As I mentioned to him about 2nd dinner, I was reminded of the movie, LORD of the RINGS, the hobbits have all sorts of meals, that would be awesome and still be that little!

How many meals a day do you really eat?

I saw a little sunshine today!!

Now, it only lasted about 20 minutes, but I SAW IT!!! Hooray!!! Apparently it is supposed to rain all week so it might put a damper on the 4th of july! But we will try to make way! We are going to head North to Edmond (where john grew up), he is very excited to take me to the parade!

Anyway, last night John and I went and saw Brian Regan, a comedian, at a local college and it was awesome! We first saw him at the Irvine Spectrum improv with Jaime about a year and a half ago! Crazy how time flies!

No luck finding the camera cord...I think I am going to have to have to resort to going to Wal-mart and getting a CD. Hopefully I will have som pics up this week :)
